How do I get my Ontario gas technician license?
Gas Technicians in Ontario When you decide to pursue gas technician jobs in Ontario, you must complete training and achieve a 75% passing grade on your TSSA Gas Technician certification exams. There are two levels of licensing you can complete before entering the trade: Gas Technician 3 (G3) and Gas Technician 2 (G2).
How do you get gas 1?
The Gas Technician 1 license is the highest level of certification. To enroll in the certification, you must have proof of work experience of 2 years (4000 hours) in the field as a certified Gas Technician 2, including 500 hours on systems with a firing rate in excess of 400,000 BTUs.
What is a gas technician 3?
GAS TECHNICIAN 3 Topics include safety, gas fundamentals, codes and regulations and an introduction piping and tubing systems and gas appliances. Individuals with a G3 certification are able to work under the supervision of a licensed Gas Technician 2 or 1.
