How does the HDC work on a L322?
HDC works in Reverse as well as forward gears but I can’t remember exactly if your very early L322 has a limitation on which gears. At very least, it should work in R & 1 but probably 2. So, that’s how it works… This is what should make it inoperative (and how to make it operative again): Driving over 20mph (reduce speed).

The system has a ‘Target Speed’ set in the ECU and when your speed goes over that target speed, it will pulse the brakes to bring it down. HDC works in Reverse as well as forward gears but I can’t remember exactly if your very early L322 has a limitation on which gears.
