What is Locoid scalp lotion used for?
Locoid Scalp Lotion is indicated in adults, children and infants above 3 months of age. It is used to treat a variety of skin conditions which are not caused by micro-organisms, such as eczema and dermatitis (itching) of all types, but it is used in particular in the treatment of psoriasis of the scalp.
How long use Locoid scalp lotion?

Systemic effects of topical corticosteroids may include reversible HPA axis suppression, manifestations of Cushing’s syndrome, hyperglycemia, and glucosuria. Studies conducted in pediatric subjects demonstrated reversible HPA axis suppression after use of Locoid® Lotion.

Locoid® Lotion is indicated for the topical treatment of mild to moderate atopic dermatitis in patients 3 months of age and older. Apply a thin layer to the affected skin areas two times daily, and rub in gently. Do not apply Locoid® Lotion in the diaper area unless directed by a physician.
