If you do that repeatedly his ears break thus giving you the Kut-Ku ear….Trick to getting Kut-Ku ears:

Get a high raw damage hammer.
Get 3 shock traps.
Triple pound his head until it breaks.
Use your last trap to capture him. ( Tranq bombs for this)
Retrieve your ears.

As far as I know, Kut Ku Ears are only obtainable by completly destroying it’s ears.
